Meet our team. Your friendly helpful lock keepers will give advice, help and guidance to ensure your enjoyment and safety during your visit to Foxton Locks on a boat or on foot.

They are well trained with a comprehensive knowledge of how the locks work, their history and some local knowledge for both boaters and visitors.

Click the button below to learn what services are available, lock opening times, mooring places and times. Plan your visit and ensure you arrive in time to pass through the locks before they close. Leave time to moor up and enjoy the local pubs, cafe and museum. Explore the site of the Inclined Plane and get a fantastic view from the viewing platform.

Visitors to Foxton Locks can enjoy a memorable time to our historic locks. There is plenty to see and do at Foxton Locks for a great family day out.

Watch boats transverse the locks, have a picnic by the locks or lunch in the pubs. Visit the museum to find out more about the history of the English canals, Foxton Locks and Inclined Plane. Look out for swans, ducks and even a glimpse of our resident kingfisher.
